Apple announced ‘Apple Pay’ at the time of launching iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6 last month. The service which is rumored to go live on October 18th has been leaked in screenshots that show the setup process.
Apple Pay setup process has been leaked with training materials. Users will need to set up Apple Pay by going into a new “Passbook & Apple Pay” and enter in the Settings app. Credit card details can be entered manually or scanned in with the device’s camera. Up to eight credit or debit cards be connected with an iTunes account.
The Apple Pay service will display recent transactions for each card an iPhone 6 owner hooks up. It will provide a link to the card’s relevant iOS app, as well as a button for contacting the bank. Apple also includes links to the terms and conditions and privacy policy for each bank.
If a credit card expires, Passbook will automatically update the card with the new expiration date from the credit card company. Users will receive a notification alerting them when the changes have been made. Apple had announced earlier that it does not save any transactions and that they are purely between the customer, bank and the merchant.
