Google announced Android 5.0 Lollipop two days back and said that it will begin to roll out “in coming weeks”. However, a new report is now claiming that the Lollipop update will roll out to Nexus 7 (2012), Nexus 7 (2013) and Nexus 10 on November 3.
Meanwhile, Nexus 4, Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 with LTE will follow the aforementioned devices and receive the update by the end of next month. The report says that the hardware with cellular capabilities will have to wait a bit longer for Android L updates at first, simply due to the more work that goes into the update process.
Other smartphone makers like Motorola, Sony and HTC have announced that selected smartphones will receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The latest version of Android brings a major visual enhancement due to the main feature dubbed as Material Design. Other features include stronger security features, notifications, battery saving feature and so on.
