Logitech has announced Logitech Type+, a protective case with an integrated keyboard for the iPad Air 2 in India. Even though the iPad Air 2 is yet to go on sale in India, the company has announced the accessory in advance. The case is thin, light and offer two-sided protection for the iPad from accidental bumps, scratches and spills.

It has an improved Bluetooth keyboard that has been designed to replicate the typing experience and layout of an laptop. This is made possible by optimizing the distance between its keys, and adding a dedicated row of iOS shortcuts, says the company. It has automatic On/Off feature. When the iPad is positioned upright, the Logitech Type+ automatically turns on, and when it’s closed, it automatically turns off.
It weighs 430 grams. It works for 3 months on single charger based on average use of two hours per day.
The Logitech Type+ comes in Black color and is expected to be available in India starting December 2014 for a suggested retail price of Rs. 6,495.
