Samsung Galaxy A5 aka SM-A500 is one of the three smartphones in the A series. We have already seen photos and specs of the phone over the past few months via leaks. Today, the price of the phone has been revealed by a retailer in Kazakhstan.
As per the retail catalouge, the Galaxy A5 will cost 99, 990 Tenge in Kazakhstan, which translates to about $550 or €435. The phone is looking pricey as previous rumors had suggested that the phone will be priced between $400-$450. Moving on, the listing mentions that the phone will feature a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a metal frame, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a microSD card slot for storage expansion, and a 13-megapixel camera. Its dimensions are listed as 139.3 x 69.7 x 7 mm and its weight might be 123 grams.
However, previous leaks and rumors had suggested that the phone will be powered by a 1.2 quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor. Other specs include 5MP front facing camera, 2,330 mAh battery and will run on Android 4.4 KitKat. Finally, the retail catalouge is set to remain in circulation until November 11th. Hence, Samsung might announce the phone before that.
