Metis Learning launched Eddy G70, an Android-based learning tablet for kids in partnership with Intel for Rs. 9999 in September. Designed specially for kids, the tablet runs on Android 4.2.2 with an overlay of the proprietary Athena OS. We have already seen the unboxing of the Eddy tablet and now lets take a detailed hardware look at the tablet.
The Metis Eddy tablet sports a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) multi-touch display and is powered by dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor. It runs on Android 4.2-based proprietary Athena OS and comes pre-loaded with over 160 learning apps and games for Kids.
It has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
The tablet has power button and volume rockers on the right side.
On the top we can see the micro USB port, microphone and 3.5mm audio jack.
At the back the tablet has a 2-megapixel camera at the top end and loud speaker at the bottom end.
It also has a microSD card slot at the back. The tablet has 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory , 32GB expandable memory with microSD. It has 3G support via dongle,WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, mini HDMI out, USB OTG and a 2800 mAh battery.
