Motorola has published the Android 4.4.4 KitKat build Kernel Source Code for Moto X(2014) and Moto(2014), according to Android Police. The initial kernel source code for Motorola Moto X (2014) is codenamed ‘Victara’, while that of the Moto G (2014) is dubbed ‘Titan’.
For those unaware, kernel is a Linux-based baseline software that runs underneath Android, which allows it to interact with mobile phone or tablet hardware. Android uses an open source software that requires manufacturers to publish the source code publicly for everyone to inspect and modify if they want to.
The kernel source code is available through Motorola‘s developer GitHub, completely browsable, and can be downloaded as a single compressed archive. Google released Android 4.4.4 Kernel Source code for these three Android One smartphones in September.
