Apple introduced the iPad Air 2, the second generation iPad Air tablet last month. The tablet would go on sale in India soon starting at Rs.35,900. We got to check out the iPad Air 2, which is currently the world’s thinnest tablet. Check out the unboxing.

The iPad Air 2 has the same 9.7 inch Retina Display with 2048×1536 resolution at 264 ppi, but this is fully laminated, making it much thinner compared to the first iPad Air and it even has Anti Reflective coating. The iPad Air 2 has a faster A8 chip based on 2nd gen 64-bit architecture and a M8 motion coprocessor. It has fingerprint sensor on the home button that enhances the security.
We have the Gold version. The is the first time Apple is introducing Gold version, after the Gold iPhone 5s. It also comes in Silver and Space Gray variant. It has a 8-megapixel iSight 1080p camera, f/2.4 aperture and a 1.2-megapixel HD front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. We have the LTE version that now has support for 20 LTE bands, similar to iPhone 6. So it even works on Airtel LTE. It even has Apple SIM pre-installed in the US and UK so that you can switch your networks and also roam on other supported networks easily without switching your SIM cards. Under the back cover it has 27.62 Wh battery, compared to 32.9 Wh battery on the previous Air.
At just 6.1mm, this is currently the world’s thinnest tablet, thinner than the 6.4 mm Sony Xperia Z2 Tabet.
