Gionee Elife E3 gets Android 4.4 KitKat update, brings support for 9 Indian languages

Gionee has released the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for its Elife E3 smartphone in India. Along with the Android 4.4′s features such as wireless printing, support for emojis and more, this update brings a new homescreen layout, Touchpal, Kingsoft Office and more, similar to other smartphones. It has also added nine Indian languages. Gionee released KitKat update for its M2 smartphone back in September.

  • Updated Amigo Paper with a brand new UI interface design.

The KitKat update for Elife E3 is not available over-the-air (OTA). It available at selected service centres, and you can also follow instruction on the official Gionee forum and flash the new firmware manually. It doesn’t erase your data, however Gionee asks you to back up your data before flashing.
