Immediately after it started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop over-the-air (OTA) update, Google has released factory images and binaries for the Nexus 5, WiFi variants of both Nexus 7 2012 and Nexus 7 2013 and the Nexus 10. Factory images and binaries for the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 6 are not available yet. Google released factory images for Nexus 9 and the Nexus Player last week. Now a minor bug fix update takes the Nexus 9’s build version from LRX21L to LRX21Q.
The Android 5.0 Lollipop update brings Material Design with bold, colorful, and responsive UI design, better notifications, battery saver feature, better security including Android Smart Lock, New Quick Settings, Improved network hand offs, flexible sharing, faster, smoother and more powerful experience with ART, 15 new languages and more.
If you don’t have the update yet, you can download the factory images for these devices from the Google Developers website here. This will wipe your device clean, so remember to backup your device before flashing.
