Google has updated its keyboard app to version 4.0.2 that adds two new Material Design themes, improved design for suggestions and corrections and more. This adds Material dark and Material light Material Design themes in addition to existing Holo White and Holo Blue themes. You can head to settings and go to themes to select new themes.
According to the changelog, the update also brings improved design for suggestions and corrections, bug fixes and stability improvements. The update brings option to set long-press duration. The Google Keyboard v3.2 update brought 8 languages including, Bengali (India), Hindi (Compact), Kannada (India), Malayalam (India), Marathi (India), Tamil (India), Tamil (Singapore), and Telugu (India).
Google has not released the Google Keyboard for Indian users on Google Play. It comes pre-installed on Android One devices, but you can’t update it over Google Play. The update would roll out in stages through Google Play, but you can always manually download the APK from the source link below.
