Arguably a must-have purchase for any iPhone owner is a handset dock with the range available including everything from a dock to charge and sync your handset to a speaker dock that charges your handset whilst filling the room with your music of choice. However, one issue faced with most docks is that you often need to remove your iPhone from its protective case before it can be docked but the Twelve South HiRise seeks to fix this problem.
The HiRise is unique in that it offers flexibility to work with a range of cases. From the very thin to the bulky offering extreme protection, the HiRise has an adjustable back stand that allows you to position it flush against the back of your case and an adjustable lightning clip that can be set at three heights to ensure it successfully connects to your handset. Twelve South are known for offering stylish Apple accessories and we recently spoke to the company where they explained that they are Apple Mac and iPhone users designing products that fix problems they face themselves. In the case of the HiRise, this evidently shows with the dock featuring the sleek metal graces and finish akin to the iMac range and the HiRise will fit into any Apple household.
As it uses your existing lightning cable, the HiRise offers the perfect solution for your desk (at home or at work); it combines a stylish design with some useful features into an accessory that you’ll not only like to use but also enjoy looking at. The HiRise was initially released for the iPhone 5 and given that Apple’s design language isn’t likely to differ too much in the near future, you can rest assured it’s likely to work with several generations of the iPhone yet. Available in two colours, there’s a silver and a black version and whilst we’ve been hands on with the silver version, the black version also looks rather stylish as well. We will be adding the video review soon.
