Apple releases iOS 8.1.1 with bug fixes and improvements for iPad 2 and iPhone 4s

Apple has rolled out iOS 8.1.1 update that includes several bug fixes and performance improvements. It is a minor update to last month’s iOS 8.1 release for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

iOS 8.1.1 is compatible with the iPhone 4S and newer iPhone models, iPad 2 and newer, and the fifth-generation iPod touch. The update has a build number “12B435.” The update is available over-the-air through the Settings app under General and Software Update. It does not add any new features but receives a number of performance enhancements.

The update can be received by going to “Settings > General > Software Update”. In September, Apple released iOS 8.0.2 to fix cellular and Touch ID issues.
