LG announced the G Watch R, the company’s second Android Wear smartwatch and the successor of the G Watch recently. It went on sale in the U.S. on Google Play recently for $299. We brought you the unboxing of the G Watch R recently. Here we have the comparison gallery between the LG G Watch R and the Motorola Moto 360 that also has a circular display.
The G Watch R has a circular 1.3-inch (320 x 320 pixels) P-OLED Display. The Moto 360 has a slightly larger 1.5-inch (320 x 290 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Unlike the Moto 360 gap on the bottom for the sensors, the LG G Watch has been designed to use the complete display.
The LG G Watch R is powered by a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 SoC, whereas the Moto 360 is powered by a TI OMAP 3 SoC. Both these have 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. Both these are dust and water-resistant and can stay in water up to meter deep for 30 minutes.
Both these have wireless charging capabilities. The Moto 360 has a unique dock.
Both these have a button on the right side. These have pedometer, heart rate monitor and several set of sensors. The LG G Watch R even has Barometer. Both these Android Wear Smartwatches use Bluetooth 4.0 LE to connect to Android smartphones running Android 4.3 or later.
Both these have leather straps. The Moto 360 has Horween leather strap. It also comes with a metal strap. The LG G Watch R has a 410mAh battery and the Moto 360 packs a 320 mAh battery.
The LG G Watch R is now on sale in the U.S, Australia and Japan. It is expected to go on sale in other countries, including India soon. The Motorola Moto 360 went on sale in India back in October for Rs. 17,999.
