Apple iPhone 6 Plus Battery Test

Apple launched the iPhone 6 Plus along with the iPhone 6 in India few weeks back starting at Rs. 62,500. We reviewed the iPhone 6 Plus earlier this week. We brought you the battery test results for the Apple iPhone 6 earlier this month, here we have the battery test results for the iPhone 6 Plus.

The iPhone 6 Plus has a non-removable 2,915mAh Lithium Polymer battery, bigger than the iPhone 6′s 1,810mAh battery. It is powered by Apple A8 chip with dual-core custom ARMv8 64-bit cores clocked at 1.4GHz per core and has quad-core PowerVR GX6450 GPU, similar to the iPhone 6. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p display. Talk Time

In our call test the iPhone 6 Plus lasted for 25 hours, twice the talk time of the iPhone 6.

3G browsing

The iPhone 6 Plus’s battery latested for 6 hours and 15 minutes in 3G browsing, again about twice the amount of iPhone 6’s battery.

Wi-Fi browsing

The WiFi browsing however is not as good as the iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 Plus lasts for 7 hours and 41 minutes in the test, compared to 9 hours in the iPhone 6.

Video Playback

The iPhone 6 Plus lasts for 20 hours in our video playback test, again double the amount of iPhone 6’s video playback of 10 hours.

Our 24 hour charge rating for the iPhone 6 Plus is 14 hours and 38 minutes. This places the iPhone 6 Plus in the second spot in our One Charge Rating, just behind the Lenovo S860 that rates at 15 hours and 32 minutes.
