Nimbuzz has launched a new caller identification app Holaa which works similar to TrueCaller allowing users to know who is calling. The app lets users to see details like the caller’s name, photo and location during an incoming call live. It also block spam calls from spammers or other unwanted callers.
Holaa syncs with Facebook, Google accounts and phonebook to provide the caller’s name, photo, location and email ID. Users can also opt out of Facebook and Google account sync feature. It regularly provides additional information about phone book contacts, which, the user can add to their directory by using the ‘Merge’ feature. Users can also share contact information for both phone book contacts and unknown contacts with their friends using a share option allowing the sharing of names, mobile numbers, photos and e-mail addresses
“On an average, 4 out of 10 calls on pre-paid mobile numbers are from unknown numbers, while 1 out of these 4 unknown calls is a spam call,”
said Nimbuzz India CEO, Vikas Saxena in a statement.
Holaa is currently available in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Persian and Portuguese. Currently the app is only available for Android devices and there is no word about other platform. Holaa will compete directly with Truecaller app that has over 4o million users in India.
