Apple launched the iPhone 6 Plus, the company’s first large screen smartphone in October. We have already seen the unboxing, photo gallery, benchmarks, battery test and review of the iPhone 6 Plus. Now let’s compare the iPhone 6 Plus with OnePlus One that we have already reviewed and will launch in India soon exclusively on Amazon.
The iPhone 6 Plus sports a 5.5 inch Retina HD display screen (1920 x 1080 pixels) and is powered by a new Apple A8 processor. OnePlus One also has a 5.5-inch (1920 ×1080 pixels) Full HD display with Corning Gorilla glass 3 protection. It is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU.
The iPhone 6 Plus runs on iOS 8 while the OnePlus One runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat-based CyanogenMod 11S ROM. The former has a 1.2MP front facing FaceTime camera with 720p HD video recording while the latter has a 5MP camera.
The iPhone 6 Plus has the trademark physical home button along with the Touch ID fingerprint sensor. OnePlus One on the other hand has capacitive touch buttons below the display.
The iPhone 6 Plus has an aluminium unibody design and have curved edges and the Apple logo is situated at the middle of the phone. While the OnePlus One has a non-removable back cover with a rough finish.
The iPhone 6 Plus has a 8MP rear iSight camera that can shoot Slo-Mo videos at 120 fps or 240fps and supports OIS. On the other hand the OnePlus One 13MP rear camera with Dual LED Flash and 4K video recording.
The iPhone 6 Plus has a 2915mAh battery and the OnePlus One has a 3100mAh battery. The former has a iPhone branding below while the latter has Cyanogen branding on the back.
The 3.5mm audio jack and the Apple’s proprietary lightning connector along with the loudspeakers are situated at the bottom. In case of the OnePlus One has micro USB port, loudspeaker grill and a microphone.
The iPhone 6 Plus has volume rockers while the rotation lock switch are placed on the left side. The OnePlus One has volume rockers and a micro SIM card slot on that side
iPhone 6 has no keys on the top while the OnePlus One has the 3.5mm audio jack.
The iPhone 6 Plus has power button and micro SIM card slot the left side while the OnePlus One has power/lock button that side. iPhone 6 Plus is 7.1m thick and weighs 172g while the OnePlus One measures 152.9 x 75.9 x 8.9 mm and weighs 162 grams.
The iPhone 6 Plus is available in India and comes in Silver, Gold, Space Gray colors and in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB variants for INR 62,500 for the basic 16GB variant, INR 71,500 and INR 80,500 respectively. While the OnePlus has yet to get a price tag in the country, which we will know at the launch next week.
