Apple iPhone 6 Plus vs Xiaomi Redmi Note Photo Gallery

Apple launched the iPhone 6 Plus, the company’s first large screen smartphone in October. We have already seen the unboxing, photo gallery, benchmarks, battery test and review of the iPhone 6 Plus. Now let’s compare the iPhone 6 Plus with the Xiaomi Redmi Note that was announced back in March.

The iPhone 6 Plus sports a 5.5 inch Retina HD display screen (1920 x 1080 pixels) and is powered by a new Apple A8 processor. Redmi Note on the other hand has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display based on OGS technology and 178-degree wide viewing angle. It is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor with Mali 450 GPU and has 2GB RAM.

The iPhone 6 Plus runs on iOS 8 while the Redmi runs on MIUI v5 based on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The former has a 1.2MP front facing FaceTime camera with with 720p HD video recording while the latter has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

The iPhone 6 Plus has the trademark physical home button along with the Touch ID fingerprint sensor. While the Redmi Note has capacitive touch buttons below the display.

iPhone 6 Plus has an aluminium unibody design and have curved edges and the Apple logo is situated at the middle of the phone. The Redmi Note on the other hand has a removable back cover that is made entirely of plastic.

The iPhone 6 Plus has a 8MP rear iSight camera that can shoot Slo-Mo videos at 120 fps or 240fps and supports OIS. The rear camera on Redmi Note is 13-megapixel with single LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture and supports 1080p video recording.

The iPhone 6 Plus offers 24 hours of 3G talk time and up to 384 hours of standby while the Redmi Note has 3100mAh removable battery. The former has a iPhone branding below while the latter has the Mi branding along with the loudspeaker grill.

The iPhone 6 Plus has volume rockers while the rotation lock switch are placed on the left side while the Redmi Note has no buttons or keys on that side.

The iPhone 6 Plus has nothing on the top while the Redmi has 3.5mm audio jack. The iPhone 6 Plus is 7.1mm thick and weighs 172 gms while the Redmi Note measures 154×78.7×9.45 mm.

iPhone 6 Plus has 3.5mm audio jack and the Apple’s proprietary lightning connector along with the loudspeakers are situated at the bottom. While the Redmi Note has a micro USB port and primary microphone that side.

Power/lock buttons and a nano SIM slot are placed on the left side of the iPhone 6 Plus while the Redmi Note has volume rockers and power button on the left side.

The iPhone 6 Plus is available in India and comes in Silver, Gold, Space Gray colors and in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB variants for INR 62,500 for the basic 16GB variant, INR 71,500 and INR 80,500 respectively. The Xiaomi Redmi Note was launched in India in July for Rs 9.999, but now will go on sale in the country on December 2nd and will be priced at Rs 8,999. It comes in white color with a range of colorful back covers that will be available in future.
