Lava Iris 401, the latest entry-level smartphone in the Iris series has appeared on the official website. It has a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.3 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera.. It also has dual SIM support with dual standby similar to other Iris smartphones, but lacks 3G support.
It has 256MB RAM, 256MB of internal storage with expansion slot and a 1450 mAh battery. This is an upgraded version of the Iris 401e smartphone that was launched last year.
