Apple revamps Watch website, teases new UI and features

Apple has given its Watch website a major overhaul with new information and photos. The Apple Watch website has listed some of the new and important features of the Apple Watch.

The website now has detailed descriptions of various features and functions of the watch across the separate pages labeled as ‘Timekeeping,’ ‘New Ways to Connect,’  ‘Health & Fitness’ and so on. The new Timekeeping page reveals more about some of the watch faces that are included with the Apple Watch, including details about Complications. This is a specialized function on a watch face like moon phases, sunrise and sunset. The watch face allows the user to adjust the amount of detail from ‘light to rich.’It displays four examples of customization for the watch face. Apple notes that different watch faces will allow you to toggle between colors with various levels of time including “minutes, seconds, and milliseconds.”

In case of the New Ways to connect section the page shows different ways in which the Watch opens up new ways to keep in touch with the people on a user’s contact list. Watch users can send a tap, draw a picture, or share their heartbeat with other Apple Watch wearers, but they can also send and receive text messages, audio snippets, share a location, make phone calls and email right from the watch.

Finally there are new additions in the Health and fitness department. This page shows details about the Activity and Workout apps built into the Apple Watch. New animations are also added to the site, showing how the Apple Watch will move between screens and how some of the apps will work.

Apple announced the Apple Watch in September while last week, the company released Watchkit tool for developers.
