Celkon Mobiles officially launched the Celkon Win 400, the company’s first Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone and currently the cheapest Windows Phone smartphone in India at an event in Hyderabad priced at Rs. 4,979. We got to check out the smartphone at the event, here are the first hands-on impressions and the photo gallery of the smartphone.
The Celkon Win 400 has a 4-inch (800 x 400 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM 8212) processor with Adreno 302 GPU and runs on Windows Phone 8.1.
The screen is glossy and is prone to fingerprints. There is a 1.3MP front-facing camera above the display, which is hardly visible since the white phone has a black bezel around the display. There are the usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors next to the camera.
There are trademark Windows Phone buttons below the display for back, home and search. There is a primary microphone below the display. The phone is curved on the sides that gives it an elegant look.
The power or lock button is present on the right side.
The volume rockers are present on the left side. Even though the phone is white, these glossy buttons are in black.
The micro USB slot and the 3.5mm audio jack are present on the top.
The removable back cover is quite good, even though it is made of plastic.
There is a 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash.
The loudspeaker grill is present on the bottom part of the back along with a Celkon branding.
It comes in both black and white color. The back of the black variant has matte finish.
The smartphone two standard SIM or mini SIM slots. One SIM has 3G support and other slot supports only 2G. There is also a microSD expansion slot.
It has a 1500mAh removable battery. That’s it for the photo gallery. We will be brining you the unboxing of the smartphone soon.
