Globally, over 2 million businesses use our advertising platform to find potential buyers on the internet. India is now the third largest internet market. To get the first 100 million internet users, it took 10 years, but the second 100 million came within two years. More interestingly, in the next 1.5 years, we’ll get the next 100 million users,”
said Suryanarayana Kodukulla, head of SMB sales, Google India.
Google My Business will even makes SMBs easier to expand their customer base and manage operation using a smartphone inspite of a website. The app is also aimed at making it easier for customers to get in touch with local businesses when they search for them online. India has 48 million SMBs, of which 8-10 million could leverage this app for an online presence, as per a latest report from Zinnov on behalf of Google.
