Xolo launched the Omega 5.0, the company’s first smartphone in the Omega series with HIVE UI earlier today priced at Rs. 8,999. We got to check out the smartphone. Here is the unboxing.

Since it comes with a built-in 2100mAh battery it doesn’t have a battery in the box.
The Omega 5.0 has a curved design and has Xolo branding on the top along with a 2-megapixel camera. It has a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a 1.4GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6592M processor, similar to the Xolo 8X-1000 that was launched few months back. Even though it currently runs on HIVE UI based on Android 4.4 (KitKat), Xolo has promised to update the smartphone to Android 5.0 in future.
It has a glossy removable back cover, a 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and Sony Exmor R sensor. It has dual SIM support, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage with expansion slot. It has Yamaha amplifier and DTS support.
The Xolo Omega 5.0 comes with 500MB of free data for Vodafone users for two months. It will go on sale starting from December 10th. We will be bringing you the benchmarks, photo gallery and more soon.
