Skype for Windows Phone gets improved chats, bigger emoticons and more

Skype is getting a couple of features for its Windows Phone app. The version 2.25 focuses on enhancing the chatting experience as the chats now open quickly when they are tapped.

In order to further improve chats, the latest update adds support for bigger emoticons thereby helping you express even better. With this update, users can now delete individual chat messages or clear a whole chat conversations, but messages will still show on other platforms. In case of group chats you can now see all avatars in a group, and they will update in the app, as well. You can also add groups to your favorites list. Also, if you send a message with only an emoticon, it appears nice and big on the chat screen.

Finally, Microsoft has added a new “high-contrast” dark theme for the app. The Skype app was updated last month with drawing tools, HD support and more. Also, the app received location sharing and photo saving features in September

You can download the Skype app from Windows Phone Store.
