HERE Maps for Windows Phone updated

Here Maps has updated Drive+ app for Windows Phone by adding voice guided navigation to 18 more countries. The latest updated brings the total number of freely navigable countries to 118.

The Here Drive+ app has complete road coverage for 10 countries viz, Algeria, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Cyprus, Iraq, Libya, Mauritania, Mauritius, Paraguay, Saint Helena while the it has lesser coverage of the roads in the other 8 countries viz Angola, Bangladesh, Nepal, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

In addition, the update allows users to transit from their Nokia account to HERE’s own services. HERE is also making Here Transit and Here Drive+ free for Windows 8 and 8.1 users.With the update, the apps will use the new HERE account to keep your Collections in sync across all HERE-powered devices. Finally, the HERE.com has also received some improvements.

The update is now live for HERE Maps, HERE Drive+, HERE Transit and HERE City Lens for Windows Phone, and will shortly be available for HERE Maps on Windows 8.1.
