Google announced the Nexus 6 in October along with the Nexus 9 tablet. The successor of the Nexus 5 went on pre-order on Flipkart last month priced at Rs. 43,999 for the 32GB variant and the 64GB variant is priced at Rs. 48,999. It was officially launched in India earlier this week. We have already seen the unboxing of the phone and now lets take a detailed look at the hardware of the device in our photo gallery post.
The Nexus 6 sports a 5.96″ (1440×2560 pixels) 16:9 AMOLED display with 493 ppi, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 (APQ 8084-AB) processor with Adreno 420 GPU and has 3GB RAM, 32GB/64GB internal memory. It runs on latest Android 5.0.
The Nexus 6 has a 2MP front-facing camera and the dual front facing speaker at the top.
It has on-screen touch buttons and dual front facing speaker at the bottom.
The design language of the Google Nexus 6 is inspired by the Motorola Moto X2 or the 2nd gen Motorola Moto X. At the back the phone has the Nexus branding and Motorola logo.
At the back the Nexus 6 has a 13MP rear camera with dual LED Ring flash, OIS, Sony IMX 214 sensor, f/20 aperture, 4K video recording.
On the top the phone has a 3.5mm audio jack and a nano SIM card slot.
A micro USB port is seen at the bottom. It measures 10.1mm thick and weighs 184 grams.
On the right side the phone has a power button and the volume rocker keys.
The Nexus 6 has a 3220 mAh battery and supports 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/g/b/n/ac (dual band), Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, GLONASS, NFC. It is also water-resistant. We will be bringing you the benchmarks of the smartphone soon.
