It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display. It is actually a PenTile screen in which you can clearly see the PenTile matrices. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, similar to the Galaxy Mega 2. It runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box. There is a 5MP front-facing camera.
It has dual nano SIM slots on the right side. An interesting addition is that the secondary SIM slot can also be used as a microSD slot when required. The Galaxy A5 has 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The smartphone is 6.7mm thick and weighs just 123 grams.
It has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash. The metal build is brilliant, in fact it is better than the Samsung Galaxy Alpha. It has a uni-body design, so the back cover is not removable. There is a built-in 2300 mAh battery. The Galaxy A5 is expected to launch in India soon. Hope Samsung would price it right since the specifications are not top-end.
