Last week Micromax announced that it will launched the first YU branded smartphone running CyanogenMod OS in India on December 18th. It will be available for sale exclusively on Amazon.in. One of our readers has spotted the Micromax YU smartphone in Zauba import/export database that shows the pricing for a single unit as Rs. 8,301. With tax it might cost around Rs. 10,000, which is would be competitive in the range for its specifications.
The listing also shows the model number as AO5510, but the company is likely to come up with a catchy name. It also confirms the 5.5-inch display, dual SIM support and LTE. It is expected to come with a 5.5-inch HD display, powered by a 1.7GHz MT6592 Octa-Core processor with MT6290 modem for 4G LTE, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage with expansion slot, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, Android 4.4.2 Kitkat and a 2500mAh battery.
We will get to know the exact specifications and the pricing at the YU launch event tomorrow.
