LINE Corporation has updated its LINE Messenger app to version 4.8 that introduces new LINE Pay mobile money transfer and purchasing service that lets users make payments easily through LINE directly from the smartphone. This lets you add your credit card information to pay on e-commerce websites and apps easily.
Currently LINE Pay supports payments only on LINE Store, but the company plans to add more services and merchants to use LINE Pay in the future. To start using the service, users can register their credit cards and purchase paid contents such as LINE stickers for both LINE and LINE family apps through LINE Store.
To celebrate the release of LINE Pay, all charges on the LINE Store made through LINE Pay payment will receive up to 25% bonus to their balance for a limited time. The latest update also brings option to see when your friend is typing. This feature is only available in 1-on-1 chats.
