Huawei Honor 6 Plus now available for purchase globally for $399

Huawei’s new Honor 6 is recognised as one of the best value-for-money devices on the market and this was followed by the Honor 6 Plus, a larger version of the handset catering for phablet demand in Asia. A few weeks ago we reported the Honor 6 Plus wouldn’t be coming to Europe but it is now available to buy globally for $399.

Sporting a 5.5 inch Full HD 1080p display, the Honor 6 Plus is powered by Huawei’s own octa-core Kirin 925 processor with 3GB RAM and a Mali T628 MP4 GPU. Under the hood is 16GB/32GB internal storage (which can be expanded by up to 128GB using a microSD card) along with a 3600mAh battery.

The handset runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Huawei’s Emotion 3.0 user interface and there’s a dual 8MP camera setup on the rear that allows you to capture 13MP photos with some impressive photo effects and super fast autofocus (with Huawei claiming the handset will focus in under 0.2 seconds). The front camera is also an 8MP sensor (with the three 8MP camera setup meant to reflect that 888 is a lucky number in China) and both the front and rear cameras are able to shoot Full HD 1080p video at 30 frames per second.

As we covered in our time with the Honor 6, Huawei’s new smartphone range certainly offers excellent value for money. From the super smooth performance (thanks to the octa-core CPU and 3GB RAM) to the optimised Emotion UI, the Honor range symbolises that Huawei could yet challenge Samsung, Apple and Lenovo as the top smartphone manufacturers in the world.

The Honor 6 Plus is available to buy at Oppomart for $399.
