Japanese carrier au by KDDI has partnered with Kyocera and product designer Naoto Fukasawa to announce INFORBAR A03, the latest designer smartphone in the INFORBAR sreies. The smartphone has a 4.5-inch 1080p IGZO display and comes with anodized aluminum body. It is powered by a Snapdragon 801 SoC, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
It runs on Android KitKat with a custom skin on top by award-winning artist and experimental web designer Yugo Nakamura. It is a refresh of Iida UI that was introduced in the INFORBAR A01 smartphone. The smartphone even has IPX5/8 ratings for water resistance and is dust proof (IP5X). The touch keys below the display have tricolor color scheme.

The Kyocera INFORBAR A03 comes in four different colors – Red, Blue, Brown and Pink (Otherwise know as Nishikigoi, Mocah Brown, Pool, and Sakura Iro). There are different cases for the smartphone, including limited-edition patterned cases and a wooden dock, designed specifically for the smartphone. The smartphone goes on sale through au by KDDI in Japan in February 2015. No details about the pricing.
