Twitter for Windows phone has received an update that includes Cortana integration. Users will be able to launch and send a tweet using Microsoft’s virtual intelligent assistance.
The update which is only for devices running Windows 8.1 will enables users to tell Cortana to send a tweet by simply saying “Cortana, Twitter new Tweet”. With this new version, it is now possible to share links for website from Internet Explorer directly to the Twitter app. The app does features support for People Hub in Windows Phone, allowing Twitter to be a People Hub option for contacts.
The Twitter app for Windows had received multiple photo sharing capabilities, photo tagging for friends and more last year. However, the app still does not support GIF and users cannot select these animated images to tweet.
