Xiaomi introduces Bluetooth gaming controller for $16

Xiaomi has introduced a Bluetooth Gaming controller in China. It uses Bluetooth 3.0 from Broadcom to connect to Mi TV, Mi Box, Xiaomi smartphones and Mi Pad and doesn’t require an app or a driver. It has 3-axis gravity sensors made by Bosh and dual vibration motors for vibration feedback.

Xiaomi has used Sony PS4-like manufacturing process. It has ergonomic button layout and thumb sticks with 360-degree field of precision positioning  and accuracy of 0.172 degrees. The shell is made of tough material manufactured by Samsung. It weighs 220 grams. It supports more than 92% Android games, says the company.

It uses 2AA NiMH rechargeable battery with intelligent power management that automatically goes to sleep if it’s not in use for more than 5 minutes.

The Xiaomi Bluetooth Gaming controller costs 99 Chinese Yuan (US$ 16 / Rs. 980 approx.). It is available for purchase from official Xiaomi website in China, but not details about the global roll out.
