Samsung is working on the Galaxy Xcover 3 (SM-G388F), the latest rugged smartphone in the Xcover series. GSMArena has got hold of the live images of the smartphone. The Galaxy Xcover 2 was introduced back in 2013.
It has hardware buttons for back, home and menu. Since it is a rugged device, it is likely to be water, dust and sand proof. As usual, the Xcover 3 doesn’t come with any groundbreaking hardware.
According to GFXBench listing, the smartphone would come with a 4.8-inch WVGA screen, 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front-facing camera and 8GB of internal storage. According to the website, it would be powered by a quad-core Marvell Armada PXA1908 chip with Cortex-A53 CPU and 1GB of RAM. It would run on Android 4.4 (KitKat)
No details about the pricing or the launch date yet. Hope we can expect the smartphone at the MWC 2015 in March or earlier.
