Recently, Airtel rolled out unlimited SMS packs for its customers across India following the huge demand of ‘unlimited’ SMS packs. It looks like Airtel have rolled out these packs to retain some of its customers who were migrating to Reliance because of their Simply reliance packs and plans.
Though, Airtel tried rolling out something similar to Reliance’s offerings but, unlike Reliance, it is again discriminating its customers from state to state (with different tariff for different states) and more importantly don’t even offer free SMS on these packs to be valid on black-out days when mobile users need to send SMS the most.
Airtel’s prepaid customers need to check this section on Airtel India official website to know the exact denomination of unlimited SMS pack in their circle. Postpaid customers can enjoy enjoy unlimited National & Local SMS at a monthly rental of Rs. 99. To activate the pack, sms UNLIMITED to 121.
Note: These unlimited packs are not truly unlimited and comes with a FUP (Fair usage policy) of 500-700 SMS per day depending on different circles.
