The Galaxy A3 has a 4.5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD Super AMOLED display, slightly smaller the Galaxy A5. The smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) out of the box and has a 5MP front-facing camera, which is common in all the A and E smartphones. It has dual nano SIM slots in which the secondary SIM slot can also be used as a microSD slot when required.
The Galaxy A3 is 6.9mm thick, slightly thicker than the Galaxy A5, but it weighs just 110.3 grams. It has a 8MP rear camera with LED flash, instead of 13MP camera on the A5. The uni-body design and the solid build quality are similar to the Galaxy A5. The A3 comes with 3G support in India, unlike the Galaxy A5 that has 4G LTE connectivity, this also has a smaller 1900 mAh built-in battery.
