Instagram has updated its Android and iOS app with a new video feature. Now videos shared on Instagram will bring endlessly continue to loop which essentially means that they will be replayed automatically.
The 15 second or less videos on Instagram will play all over again and again, without an option to pause it. They will start again from the beginning as soon as they finish and keep doing it until you pass them. Prior, to the update they played once and stopped until started again. Instagram has promised that endless looping of the videos will not cost you additional bandwidth.
The latest feature will be helpful for advertisers as 300 million users on Instagram will keep seeing them at the time of scrolling through their feed. The continuous looping of videos is similar to six seconds Vine videos. Facebook owned Instagram started video sharing in June 2013 as a competition to Twitter’s Vine.
