Lava has launched the Iris X8, the company’s latest smartphone in officially, a day after it was revealed on Flipkart. It has 5-inch HD screen, is powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). Lava promises Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for the smartphone It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 3-megapixel front-facing camera.
It has dual SIM support with smart swap technology that allows the user to switch SIMs on the go, without the need to restart the handset. It packs 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage with expansion slot and a 2500mAh battery. It has Smart Wake-up and Gesture controls which allows consumers to directly jump to applications from the locked screen.

The Lava Iris X8 comes in black and white colors and is priced at Rs. 8,999. It comes with an Intelligent Flip cover that allows users to access applications like music, calling, camera, messaging and few other functions directly without the need of switching to the main screen. It will be available across all national retail stores and multi-brand outlets and online exclusively on Flipkart starting 12PM from February 9th.
