More details about Samsung Galaxy S6 camera surface: Report

We have already seen many reports and leaks about Samsung Galaxy S6. Today, a new report from SamMobile is giving out further details about the camera on the Galaxy S6.

SamMobile’s inside source got their hands on a Galaxy S6 prototype that features a 20 MP rear camera with OIS and a 5MP front facing shooter. Both sensors are made by Samsung (model numbers SLSI_S5K2T2_FIMC_IC and SLSI_S5K4E6_FIMC_IS). The rear camera will take photos in 20MP, 15MP, 11MP, 8MP, 6MP and 2.4MP (2048×1152) resolution.

The report further added that Samsung has updated its camera app with a brand new ‘Pro’ mode. In the new ‘Pro’ camera mode on the Galaxy S6, users can save images in RAW format as well as control shutter speed. In addition, Samsung is said to add some tweaks to the Gallery app on the Galaxy S6 to make it more user-friendly with easier controls. The visual style is also said to now include text along with icons to help users figure out what to do easier.

Finally, the report states that it is a prototype and the aforementioned details can vary from the device that will be launched at MWC on March 1st. Last week a leaked schematics had showed that the Galaxy S6 will be 6.9mm thin.
