Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2 8-inch and 9.7-inch specs surface

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 2 tablets in 8-inch (SM-T710) and 9.7-inch variants soon will be unveiled soon, according to Sammobile. It has also leaked the specifications of the tablets that would come with 2048×1536 pixels 4:3 Super AMOLED displays, similar to the iPad Air’, instead of 2560×1600 pixels WQXGA 16:10 displays on the first Tab S series. These tablets will just be 5.4mm thin, making it thinner than the iPad Air 2 that is 6.1mm thick, according to the leak, as rumored earlier.

According to Sammobile’s sources the tablet will be powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 5433, but it expects it to be powered by an Octa-Core 7420 processor. These tablets will have metallic frame, but it is not clear the back would be similar to the first Tab S series. We still don’t have an image of the tablet yet, check out the detailed specifications below.

  • Dimensions 237.1×168.8×5.4mm, and weighs 407g
  • 8MP rear camera with LED flash
  • 2.1MP front-facing camera
  • 4G LTE (Cat.6), Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, GLONASS
  • 5,870mAh battery

These Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 variants are expected to be unveiled only by mid-2015, so we can’t expect it at the March 1st Samsung Unpacked event along with the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.
