Microsoft announced the Lumia 640 XL, the company’s latest phablet along with the Lumia 640 at the MWC 2015 earlier today. Here we have the photo gallery of the smartphone. The Lumia 640 XL has a huge 5.7-inch HD ClearBlack IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla glass protection. It runs on Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim, but Microsoft has promised to update it to Windows 10.
The Lumia XL has a 13-megapixel rear camera with single LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, BSI sensor and ZEISS optics. It also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, has 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage with expansion slot. It comes in dual SIM and single SIM 4G and 3G variants depending on the market.
It has volume rockers and the power button on the right side. These buttons are in black color that stands out. It is 9mm thick.
There is a 3.5mm audio jack on the top.
The micro USB slot is present on the bottom.
It has a removable back cover that houses a huge 3000mAh battery that promises up to 39 days standby (3G single SIM). It weighs 171 grams.
The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL comes in cyan, orange, white and black colors and starts at 189 Euros for the 3G variant and 219 Euros for the LTE model, without taxes. It will start rolling out this March. We will be brining you the hands-on impressions of the smartphone soon.
