Twitter likely to buy live streaming app Periscope

Twitter is in talks with a live streaming app Periscope, according to a report from TechCrunch. Periscope allows users to stream video from their smartphones to their followers in real time.

As per the report, the talks are in early stages and the possible deal might be worth around $100 million. However,a different source has completely contradicted the figure, saying the deal is only a fraction of what is being speculated. If the acquisition is a done deal, it would facilitate users to fire up live video wherever they are and broadcast it to allow people to watch it. While Meerkat and Periscope are working on same principles, Perisocpe seems to be a more refined version of what Meerkat.

Twitter has always been focused on real time updates and the live streaming app will be a great and suitable addition to the micro blogging platform.
