Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) Benchmarks

Motorola launched the Moto E (2nd Gen), the company’s latest budget smartphone in India last month. We already brought you the unboxing of the Moto E (2nd Gen), here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The new Moto E is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (8212) processor with 400 MHz Adreno 302 GPU. It has a 4.5-inch qHD screen and runs on Android 5.0.2 (Lollipop). But the CPU-Z shows it as Snapdragon 400 and the board as dual-core Snapdragon 200 (MSM8610), which is an error. Let’s check out how the smartphone performs in a range of synthetic benchmark tests.

Quadrant Benchmark

It scored 10074 points in the Quadrant benchmark, similar to Moto G 2nd Gen that is surprising.

AnTuTu Benchmark 4

It managed to score 15362 points in the AnTuTu Benchmark 4, better than the first-gen Moto E.

AnTuTu Benchmark 5

It scored 17646 points in the AnTuTu Benchmark 5.

Vellamo 2.0 HTML5

It scored 1487 points in Vellamo 2 HTML5 browser benchmark.

Vellamo 2.0 Metal

It managed to score 484 points in Vellamo 2 CPU subsystem performance test.

Linpack Single Thread

It clocked around 79.68 MFLOPS in the Linpack Single Thread benchmark.

Linpack Multi-Thread

It clocked around 148.99 MFLOPS in the Linpack Multi-Thread benchmark.

Geekbench 3 Single-Core

It scored 329 points in the Geekbench 3 Single-Core benchmark.

Geekbench 3 Multi-Core

In the Geekbench 3 Multi-Core benchmark it managed to score 1130 points.

NenaMark 2

It clocked at 51.2fps in NenaMark 2 benchmark.

GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex (On screen)

It clocked at 11 fps in the GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex OnScreen benchmark.

3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited

It scored 4604 points in the 3DMark Ice Storm Unlimited GPU benchmark.

Basemark X 1.0 HD (Onscreen)

It clocked around 8.19fps in the Basemark X 1.0 OnScreen benchmark.

Basemark X 1.0 HD (Offscreen)

It managed to score around 2.24fps in the Basemark X 1.0 OffScreen benchmark.

Basemark OS II
