Just last week, Apple and IBM rolled out MobileFirst suit for iOS apps in Japan. Today, the duo is adding 8 new MobileFirst iOS apps for industrial products and healthcare industry.
Four out of the eight recently launched apps are aimed at iOS device owners who work in healthcare. The four apps are Hospital RN for iPhone replaces a nurses pager while also offering the details of any patient’s file. Hospital Lead for iPad makes it easier for hospitals to manage floor nurses and staff. Hospital Tech for iPhone connects nurse technicians with care teams and offers real-time lab status, safety alerts, patient requests and task lists directly from a hospital’s systems of record. Finally, Home RN for iPhone lets nurses delivering in-home care to patients add photos, videos, text and audio notes to patient records and share them with the care team via push notifications.
Other apps include Rapid Handover for iPad that helps for Industrial products. Users can share information like production goals, equipment maintenance and crew lists with incoming shift members. There is a Ancillary Sale app for Travel and Transportation that lets flight attendants sell food, drinks, duty-free products and seat upgrades with Apple Pay or a credit card swipe. Order Commit lets merchants view their sales targets and other data in one simple iPad app. Last up is Risk Inspect, which should make insurance work more accurate using intelligent suggestions while offering access to previous claims and other relevant data.
Apple and IBM collaborated in July last year for iOS enterprise apps and released first batch of 10 Mobile Suit apps in December.
