Snapchat brings “Friend Emoij” and adds low light camera

Snapchat has updated its mobile apps by replacing Best Friends’ feature with Friend Emojis that only you can see. The new feature is now available on Android and iPhone.

The app now shows you the status of your friendship using “Friend Emoji,” these are little emoji that appear right along side your most frequently chatted contacts.  The new feature replaces the public ‘Best Friends’ list, that was taken down last year owing to privacy concerns. Earlier, anyone in a user’s contact list could see who they sent the most snaps to but Friends Emojis are private and only the user can see them.

Snapchat has also added a low-light camera feature to improve image quality in dark places like bars. Finally, the app gets a ‘Needs Love’ section that reminds you to connect with old friends you have not snapped with in a while.
