Lenovo A6000 is not discontinued in India, will be back in stock soon

Lenovo A6000 went out of stock recently, and the Lenovo A6000 page on Flipkart said that the product has permanently been discontinued. Lenovo has clarified to NDTV Gadgets that it has not discontinued the smartphone in India and the stocks will be back soon, but the time frame of the availability is not known yet.

Regarding the A6000 stocks and its demand, Lenovo said to NDTV Gadgets,

The Lenovo A6000 has not been permanently discounted in India as of now. We are working towards getting additional units of A6000 to meet the overwhelming consumers demand. After the last flash sale which was around 10 days back we have still been getting more demands for the smartphone which was not anticipated. As the products are out of stock at the moment, we are trying our best to procure more devices to meet the requirement.

Lenovo sold 3 lakh units of the smartphone in just two months. 1,80,000 units were sold in flash sales till March 18th and 1,20,000 units were sold in normal sales on Flipkart without registration from March 23rd. The new move might be to concentrate on the A7000. Lenovo A6000 page on Flipkart now just says it’s out of stock, but it is listed with a new seller.

Lenovo launched the A7000, successor of the A6000 in India at a price tag of Rs. 8,999 yesterday. It has already started registrations for the first flash sale on April 15th.
