Google app for Android brings wider release for nicknames feature

Google Search app for Android is expanding its nicknames feature to more users. As the name suggests, Nickname  allows users to add a nickname to people in your contact list.

Google started rolling out this feature to users in 2014 and is now bringing it to more users. The Nicknames tag can be seen inside of the Accounts and Privacy section of the Google app settings, however you can add Nicknames from your contact book when editing an existing contact or adding a new contact.

It seems like Google is also working on two new features –  Trusted Voice and Seamless Hotword. The former is a smart lock feature while there is no information about the later which is being tested out internally.
