Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) today announced that it has reduced ceiling tariffs for national roaming calls and SMS. It also announced that special roaming tariff plan are mandatory for all the operators. Making roaming calls cheaper will let you pay less for voice calls you make or receive when you are roaming outside your circle.
TRAI is reducing roaming call and SMS charges after almost 2 years. Check out the complete change in tariff below.

TRAI has mandated Special Roaming Tariff Plan for both pre-paid and post-paid subscribers. In Special Roaming Tariff Plan, incoming voice calls while on national roaming shall be free, on payment of fixed charge. The revised tariff regime for national roaming service comes into force from 1st May, 2015. TRAI says that it will closely monitor the implementation of the regime and, in particular, its impact on competition and consumer interests.
