Meerkat kickstarts public beta for Android

Meerkat app is coming to Android. The popular live streaming app has opened its public beta and is allowing Android users to access the beta version of Android app.

Meerkat which currently is only available on the iOS is now inviting people to sign up for public beta. In order to become an Android beta tester of the Meerkat app users will have to fill the Google form that requires you to share your name, your Twitter user name, and your email address.It is unclear how many beta testers Meerkat will allow. Also it is not known when Meerkat will launch a official app for Android.

Meerkat’s competitor is Twitter owned Periscope that is also present only on iOS for now is expected to come to Android soon. Such live streaming apps have been receiving the latest rage of popularity.
