Guwahati: Leading mobile service provider Airtel has more than 75,000 customers today in Assam and North east, a company spokesman said.
Airtel now connects all the important towns in Assam on its state-of-art Ero network and is being managed by Ericsson.
The towns covered included Tezpur, Nagaon, Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Duliajan, Sivsagar, Barpeta town, Barpeta Road, Nalbari, Rangiya and Bongaigaon.
Airtel is also spreading its network to connect highways and key rail routes as well as the smaller towns along the highways, the spokesman said.
