Microsoft announced at its Build developer conference that iOS and Android developers will be able to port their apps and games directly to Windows 10. In addition, the company has also revealed that its new browser will be called as Edge.
Codenamed as Project Spartan, Microsoft Edge will replace company’s age old Internet Explorer browser. Web developers will be able to take advantage of “better discoverability of their apps and future extensibility with JavaScript and HTML” in Edge, the company said. The Edge browser comes with built-in note taking and sharing; a reading pane for no distractions; and integration with Cortana. It includes a new web engine and is built on the Universal App Platform and offers a better integrated with the overall Windows 10 experience.
